Team wearing personalised kit

Personalisation

Our garments are designed as blank canvases — clean, unbranded, and built to take print and embroidery. Here's everything you need to know about getting your club or school logo onto your kit.

Built to Be Personalised

Every garment in the Chadwick Teamwear range is supplied non-branded and personalisation-ready. We don't offer in-house decoration — instead, we supply the blank garments to you or your chosen decorator, ensuring you get exactly the finish you want. Our fabrics and construction are specifically selected to work well with both embroidery and print processes.

Decoration Methods

Embroidery

Embroidery

Most Popular

Embroidery is the most durable and professional-looking personalisation method for teamwear. A digitised version of your logo is stitched directly into the fabric using industrial embroidery machines.

Best for: Club badges, school crests, coaching staff polos, hoodies, and midlayers.

Advantages

  • Extremely durable — survives hundreds of washes
  • Premium, professional appearance
  • Works on all fabric weights in our range
  • Ideal for structured logos and crests

Considerations

  • Setup cost for digitising your logo (one-off fee)
  • Very fine detail or gradients may not reproduce perfectly
  • Slightly raised texture on lightweight fabrics
Heat Transfer / DTF Printing

Heat Transfer / DTF Printing

Versatile

Direct-to-film (DTF) and heat transfer printing applies your design as a flexible film bonded to the fabric under heat and pressure. Excellent for full-colour logos and complex artwork.

Best for: Training tops, technical tees, shorts, and garments where embroidery would add unwanted weight.

Advantages

  • Full-colour reproduction including gradients and photographs
  • No minimum order quantity for most decorators
  • Lightweight — no added bulk to technical fabrics
  • Fast turnaround once artwork is approved

Considerations

  • Less durable than embroidery over many years of heavy use
  • Avoid tumble drying at high heat to extend print life
  • Not recommended for very dark fabrics with light-coloured fine detail
Screen Printing

Screen Printing

Best for Bulk

Screen printing pushes ink directly through a mesh screen onto the garment. Cost-effective at volume and produces vibrant, long-lasting results for simple, bold designs.

Best for: Large squad orders of training tops, tees, and shorts with a simple 1–3 colour logo.

Advantages

  • Very cost-effective at quantities of 20+
  • Vibrant, bold colour reproduction
  • Excellent wash durability
  • Industry standard for grassroots kit

Considerations

  • Each colour requires a separate screen (setup cost per colour)
  • Not suited to photographic or gradient artwork
  • Minimum quantities typically apply

How It Works

01

Order Your Blanks

Place your order for blank garments through Chadwick Teamwear. Choose your range, colourways, and sizes. We'll dispatch from UK stock, typically within 1–2 working days.

02

Choose Your Decorator

Take your blanks to your preferred local embroiderer or print shop, or use one of the many online decoration services. We're happy to recommend trusted decorators in the North West if you need a starting point.

03

Prepare Your Artwork

Your decorator will need your logo in a suitable format — typically a vector file (.ai, .eps, or .svg) for embroidery and screen print, or a high-resolution PNG for DTF/heat transfer. Most school and club logos are available from your county FA, school office, or existing kit supplier.

04

Approve and Decorate

Your decorator will produce a proof or sample for approval before running the full order. Once approved, decoration is applied and your kit is ready to use.
